Burn some incense, turn the lights down low, and have a set while you reflect on "The Face of Change." Instrumental composer Alex Hamberger brings together a few of his favorite collaborators (Nailah Hunter, Joshua Linsky, and Cadmar Fitzhugh)to flesh out The Face of Change. Linsky on drums provides a steady pulse over which layers of Haynes' guitar and Hunters' harp dance in harmony with each other. Alex Hamberger wrote the song as a pensive look forward on the progress made and the work yet to come in the ongoing fight for racial justice in the US. A new president is cool, but that only means we need to keep working to embody The Face of Change we want to see.
