Nearly there, as in, "I can see the outside world, hear the birds and breeze, feel the warmth of the sun, but it feels so distant." Or, "This feeling is exciting and new, like meeting a new friend, but strangely familiar like I've met you before." Or even, "I've lived this day 1000 times in the last month, I know it, but I'm still going to take it on like it's my first day on Earth."

It's the coincidence of the familiar and the foreign; the regular and the rare, the Deja vu and the Jamais vu. It's a feeling I've felt a lot lately, and one I'm learning to embrace.
